Provide support to policymakers in the development and implementation of TAXUD policies.

Assist in drafting legislation to ensure alignment with TAXUD strategic objectives.

Conduct research and analysis on policy issues, synthesizing information from various sources to identify trends and develop recommendations.

Draft concept papers, policy documents, briefing notes, and reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Compile detailed progress reports on the implementation of TAXUD policies targeting stakeholders in the European Parliament and the Council.

Monitor new policy developments from other Commission services to ensure their strategic and operational alignment with TAXUD policies.

Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and events to engage stakeholders and gather feedback on policy initiatives.

Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including MS, international organizations, and civil society.

Monitor the implementation of EC policies and evaluate their effectiveness.

Contribute to policy development processes, including impact assessments and ex-post evaluations.

Communicate policy initiatives and results to a broad audience through various channels, such as reports, presentations, training material and social media.

Stay up to date with relevant policy developments and maintain a network of contacts within the policy community.

B2 level of English minimum. Any knowledge of French is an asset.

EQF Level 6 in Law, Philosophy, Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, Engineering, International Relations, Business Administration, European Studies or a related field.

Additional training or qualifications in policy analysis, project management, or public administration are desirable.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in the business area applicable.

Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.

Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.

Familiarity with EC and EU policy-making processes and institutions.

Knowledge of relevant legal frameworks and policy instruments.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other productivity tools.

High interest in and knowledge of EU Customs and/or Taxation policies, and/or CBAM/Climate policies and/or any other related policies.

Experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership building.

Knowledge of EC evaluation methodologies and impact assessment frameworks.

Understanding of the political, legal and economic context in which EU policies operate.

Relevant professional certifications in policy analysis, project management, or public administration are desirable.

Adherence to EC-specific guidelines and procedures for policy development and implementation.
